Taylor <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Counc!l.m- ~etnly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the following Resolution entitle8 <br /> <br />"~solution No. 57-23 concerning parking limitations and curb <br />m""kings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />shortening the red zone on the south side of West Third Street, between ~elton <br /> <br />and Olive Streets, in accor~ence with request of T.M.Ledbetter, was considered and <br /> <br />passed by the follow~ vote: <br /> <br />~yes, Councl!.~-u <br /> <br />Noes~ Co~nc~ 1 m~n <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Dele H. Ta~lor <br /> <br />On motion of COll~Ci1ma- Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the work was accepte <br /> <br />on Project No. C-9, for the construction of paving, curb,gutter and sidewalk on <br /> <br />Townsend Street, between Eighth and Tenth Streets; Ninth Street for a distance of <br /> <br />approximately 160 feet west of Artesia Street, and the south half of Tenth Street, <br /> <br />between Artesia and ~glish Streets, and performed by Sully-M63_ler Contracting <br /> <br />Company amd the ~r instructed to file and record the necessary Notice of <br /> <br />~pletlon. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution~ on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Jer0m~, seconded by Reinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled <br /> <br />"~esolution No. 57-24 concerning park!~-g limitations and curb <br />markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing Re~l zones at Tenth and Arteeia Streets, at the P~rk, was considered and <br /> <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Dale H. Taylor <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Jerome, seconded by ~e~nly and carried, that the <br /> <br />Resolution establishing a two-way stop intersection at Santa Clara and Santiago <br /> <br />Avenue, ~e tabled. <br /> <br />On ~aotion of Cou~cilm~, Markel, seconded by Je~ and carried, the written recc~- <br /> <br />mendation of the City Manager, dated February 4, 1957, setting forth salary step <br /> <br />increases for five employees, effective March 1, 1957, was received, filed and <br /> <br />approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Helnly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following <br /> <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance amending Sections 7400 and 7411 and adding 7411.1, <br />7421 and 7421.1 to the Santa Aaa Municipal Code regulat~ <br />water service" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilm-~ Jex~me, seconded by l~rkel and cea~ied, the Mauager <br /> <br />authorized to negotiate for the sale of a triangular piece of property, being 4~' <br /> <br />on 2Oth Street and 84' deep along what was formerly the center line of 8purgeon <br /> <br /> Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Reinly, seconded by Markel ,nd carrie~, the City Council <br /> <br />adjourned. <br /> <br />CLERK OF T~ COUNCIL <br /> <br />,] <br /> <br /> <br />
