Dahl <br /> <br />Each m~mber of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />February 4, 1957, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved <br />on motion of COunc~lm~ Neinly, seconded by ~arkel and carried. <br /> <br />Presentation of <br />trophies won by <br />the Pony League <br /> <br />Phil Sannes presented to the City trophies won by the Pony League at the 1956 <br />Regional and District Meets given by the Riverside Press-Enterprise, Riverside, <br />California, Santa Aha Ail Stars and Basebal 1 C~,m~ions Region VIII, which w~re <br /> <br />Hearing <br />"Vehicle Parking <br />District No. 1" <br /> <br />accepted with thanks, by the Vice-Mayor. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing pretests on assessments in the proceeding kuown <br />as "Vehicle Parking District No. 1", the Clerk read pretests from Roy J. Lyon, <br />Esther MacFarlane, Eatherine and George Dry~r, N. Walter Steiner, for First <br /> <br />Congregatio~e! Church of Santa Ama, Everard L. Stovall, J.S.Talcott, Jr., Willis J. <br /> <br />Clemens, for Church of the Messiah, and Gertrude M. Bruns. On motion of <br /> <br />Neinly, seconded by Narkel and carried, the emigrated protests were received and <br /> <br />filed. It was moved by Counc~lm~n M~rkel, seconded by Heinly and carried, that <br /> <br />the hearing be continued until the next regular meeting and referred to the <br /> <br />Nearing <br />Amendment <br />John L. Nobles <br /> <br />for report. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the amendment application of R. J. Nobles <br />for the reclassification of an irregular shaped parcel of land containing 6.83 acre <br />on the east side of King Street between 9th and 10th Streets, from the R-1 to the <br /> <br />R-~ District, on motion of Councilman ~fnl y, seconded by Markel and carried, the <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Plann. Commission <br />initiated amendm-nt <br />(East and West sides <br />17th St. ) <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />matter was continued until the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearf~g and no protests having been received, the amend- <br />ment initiated by the Planning Comm~ ssion for the modification Of the existing C-1 <br />and C-2 Districts abutting t~e north and south sides of East and West Seventeenth <br />Street, between the east corporate limits at Wright and Mabury Streets, and the west <br /> <br />corporate limits at the Santa Aha River, by the addition thereto of PK, was <br /> <br />On motion of Councilmau Markel, seconded by Neinly and carried, the following <br /> <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana~mtcipal Code <br /> creating chan~mes in district boundaries, and amending Sheets <br /> No. 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 14, 15, 18, 19, 22, 23 and 25 of the Districting <br /> Map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Amendment <br />B. L.Metcalf~ <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and p~aced on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the amendment application of B.L.Metcalf for <br />the reclassification of property on the west side of North Main Street, near <br />b,~ock's property, frc~ the R-1 and R-2 Districts to C-2 District, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the matter was continued until <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Amen~,~nt <br />Orange County <br />Development~ C9 <br /> <br />the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the amen&-~nt application of Orange County <br />Development Company for the reclassification from R-1 District to C-1 and R-~ <br />Districts of property located on the north side of Wilshire Avenue Just west of <br /> <br />Bristol Street, with a frontage of 1022.02 feet on Wilshire Avenue and a depth of <br /> <br />approximately 271.92 feet, Kenneth Pruitt and No,man Law protested the reclassifi- <br /> <br />cation. Charles Hester spoke in favor of the reclassification. 0~motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Rei~ly, seconded by Markel and carried, the matter was continued until <br /> <br />the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
