No. 5114 <br />(Salaries) <br /> <br />On recommendation.of the ~-nager and on motion of Counc~lm~- ~einly, seconded by <br /> <br />Mark. el and carried, the request of Sisterhood Temple Beth Sholom for permission to <br /> <br />block off Eighth Street from Spurgeon to Bush Streets, from 12 noon to 6:00 P.M., <br /> <br />March 17th, for the purpose of conducting a Pmrim Carnival, and to solicit funds <br /> <br />for the building of a new Sunday School and Community Center, was granted, subject <br /> <br />to certain parking restrictions as set forth by the Traffic Engt~er. <br /> <br />On motion of Couneflme9 Reinly, seconded by Markel and carried, Preliminary Map of <br /> <br />Pacific Southwest Bealty Company, on property located on the east side of Bristol <br /> <br />Street, beginning at a point approxfm-tely 573.11' south of Delhi Road, with an <br /> <br />82' frontage on Bristol Street and a depth of approXtmetely 573.42', was approved, <br /> <br />subject to conditions of Department of Public Works. <br />" petition and <br />On motion of Councilman Neinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the/communications <br /> <br />from the Planning Commission reco, m~ndf~ approval of proposal to ~nnex a parcel <br /> <br />330' facing Dyer Road on the south side by 618.53~deep, the west line <br /> 998.9' <br />east of the center line of Main Street, consistin~ of approximately 5.064 acres, <br /> <br />known as "Shinn Dyer Road Annex", and from the Boundary Co~nission advising that <br /> <br />boundaries are reasonably definite and certain, were received and filed. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Counci~m-n Neinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution <br /> <br /> "Besolution No. 57-26 giving notice of proposed -nnexation to <br /> the City of Santa ~-, of that certain uninhabited territory <br /> described herein and designated 'Shinn Dyer Road Annex', and <br /> giving notice of time and place for hearing 9f protests thereto" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br />Noes~ Connci3.~en <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Dale R.
