On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by <br /> <br />Markel and carried, the oral report Was accepted. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Markel, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 57-91 concerning parking limitations and curb <br />markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />abandoning a white zone on the south side of First Street between Orange Avenue and <br /> <br />Maple Street and establishing green zones on the west side of Maple Street between <br /> <br />First and Walnut Street, reference request of the Roosevelt School, was considered <br /> <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, <br /> William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl <br />Noes, CounciLmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unan~nously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Markel, seconded by Heinly and carried~ the following Resolution entitled <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 57-92 concerning parking limitations and curb <br />markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing a red zone on the south side of First Street between Maple Street and <br /> <br />0range Avenue, reference request of the Roosevelt School, was considered and passed <br /> <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, <br />'~ William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />On recommendation of the curb usage committee and on motion of Councilman Heinly, <br /> <br />seconded by Markel and carried, the request of B. C. Grow was granted for a driveway <br /> <br />approach ll' in width across curb area and parkway area on the south portion of <br /> <br />property at 2009 South Main Street. <br /> <br />Councilman Markel disqualified himself on the request of Lloyd Westlake. <br /> <br />(~ recom- <br /> <br />mendation of the curb usage committee and on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded <br />by Heinly and carried, the request of Lloyd Westlake was granted for an over-size <br />driveway at 2602 Louise Street. <br /> <br />The ~iunager requested that the 1956-57 Budget be amended by establishing a new <br /> <br />Activity Fund 51-536 Protection of Drainage Channels and authorizing the transfer of <br /> <br />the sum of $6,000.00 from the City Council Contingency Reserve Fund 51-536-691 to <br /> <br />the new Activity. On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, <br /> <br />the establishment of the new Activity and transfer of funds was approved. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman ~ke]., seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 57-93 amending Section 3 of Resolution No. 5114 <br /> as amended, entitled 'Resolution establishing a basic compensation <br /> plan for certain classes of employment in the Municipal Sea:ice of <br /> the City of Santa Aha, and establishing regulations for the place- <br /> ment of present employees within the wage and salary schedules <br /> provided'" <br /> <br />by adding the class title of "Delineator'~ at wage schedule No. 24, was considered <br /> <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen D~le H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, <br /> William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, CounciLmen None <br /> <br />The Manager submitted an appraisal report from John C. Wallace on the Fire Station <br /> <br />property at 1322 North Sycamore Street and requested authorization to sell the <br />property by sealed bid, with a minim~n price of $25,000.00. On motion of <br /> <br />Markel, seconded by Heinly and carried, the sale of the property by sealed bids, to <br /> <br /> <br />
