RESOLUTION NO. 75-140 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING THE SALARY OF <br />THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to maintain the salary <br />of the Clerk of the Council within the range of currently pre- <br />valent salaries for similar positions in cities of comparable <br />size; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Council is of a caliber to <br />warrant payment equal to or above the prevailing rate; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the salary for the <br />position of Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />California, is hereby fixed and established at $ 1,960 <br />per month and that said salary shall take effect and be paid <br />from September 1, 1975. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in addition to the afore- <br />said salary, the Clerk of the Council shall receive the following <br />benefits in like manner and amount as have been approved for <br />all Department Heads: <br /> <br />Effective September 1, 1975, a group life insurance <br />policy in the amount of $20,000, with double <br />indemnity. <br /> <br />Effective September 1, 1975, the City as employer, <br />will contribute $14.00 per month toward the purchase <br />of a dental insurance plan for the Clerk of the Council <br />and his (her) dependents. Said sum shall be the total <br />cost paid by the City toward such coverage. In the <br />event the premium cost shall exceed $14.00 per month, <br />the additional cost shall be borne entirely by the <br />Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br />Effective April 1, 1976, the City, as employer, will <br />contribute $4.00 per month toward the purchase of a <br />long-term Disability Income Protection Plan for the <br />Clerk of the Council. In the event the premium cost <br />exceeds $4.00 per month, the Clerk of the Council <br />will bear such additional cost. <br /> <br />Any other compensation benefits payable to all Depart- <br />ment Heads, effective on the dates such benefits are <br />payable to same Department Heads. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 74-110 is hereby <br />repealed. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th <br />day of September , 1975. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
