D~i The Council having unanf~ously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Ordinance entitled "Ordinance No. NS-2~I declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated 'Santiago Creek Annex'" was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Noes, Councilmen Absent, Councilmen J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly, Milford W. Dahl Hone William Jerome The Council havi~ unan~ously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of Councilman ,~qarkel, seconded by Heinly and carried~ the following Ordinance entitled "Ordinance No. NS-242 declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated 'Shinn D)er Road Annex'" was considered m~d passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Nee s, Councilmen Absent, Councilmen J. Dahl None William Jerome It was moved by Counci~an Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, that action on the Ordinance amending Sections 7403, 7404 and 7405 regulating water selu'dce be postponed until the next meeting. On motion of Counci]~nan Markel, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following 0rdin~uce entitled: "Ordinance establishing special prima fac~e speed limits on East Seventeenth Street, North Bristol Street, South Bristol Street, and West First Street" was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. On motion of Councilm~an Heinly, ~econded by ~4arkel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance amending Section 8432 to permit use of bonded plywood in sky signs in Fire Zone Number 3" was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the bond of Roy Russell, filed for the dedication of 20th and Olive Streets %etween Flower and To~rner Streets, in Tract No. 2949, in the sum of $9~000.00, was ordered released~ and f~provements accepted as completed. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the bond of Dike & Colegrove, filed for the improvements of Russell, Oxford, Wilshire, Hobart, Oak, Kilson Drive, Griffith Place and Lots A and B, in Tract No. 2483, in the s%%m of $7~,000.00, was ordered released and improvements accepted as completed. On recommendation of the Manager and Park Superintendent, and on motion of Heinly, seconded by Markel and. carried, the request of George C. Dick was denied that the sidewalk be repaired in front of premises at 1657, 1659 and 1661 East Firs~ Street. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the communication from the County Tax Collector advising that it is his intention to sell at public auction a parcel of property 4~°' x 140.87' on the north side of Sixth Street approx- ~ma~ely half-way between Artesia and Western Avenues, was received and filed. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried~ the communication from the Boundary Comm~ss_on ad%.iszng that the boundaries of oroposed "Croddyland f~nexation No. 2", to the City of Santa Aha are reasonably definite and certain although it does cut property lines, was received and filed.
