Council Chamber Santa Aha City Nal 1 May 20, 1957. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. ~eeting called to order by the Mayor. Present: Councilmen Absent: Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A. A. Hall, J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly None Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of May 6, 1957, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hall and carried. Hearing This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the City of certain "Mabury Annex No. 1" Ordinance uninhabited territory designated "Mabury Annex No. 1", and there being no protests, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated 'Mabury Annex No. l'" Hearing "Croddyland Annex No. 2" Ordinance was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the City of certain uninhabited territory designated "Croddyland Annex No. 2", and there being no pro- tests, on motion of Council~n Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated 'CroddylandAnnex No. 2'" Hearing "Monte Vista Raitt Annex" Ordinance was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the City of certain uninhabited territory designated "Monte Vista Raitt Annex", and there being no pro- tests, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory designated 'Monte Vista Raitt Annex," Hearing "South of Smeltzer Annexation'' was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the City of certain inhabited territory desi~ated "South of ~eltzer Annexation", the Clerk stated that petitions and letters containing approximately 236 signatures protesting the annex- ation were received. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and car- ried, the petitions and letters were received, filed and referred to the Clerk to check the authenticity of the signatures according to the statute and to the Attorney to be checked as to theilegality of the protests.
