Allen and the Police Department, for their <br />efforts in working for a safer comm~ity. Chief Allen commended Lieutenant Gross <br /> <br />Presentation of <br />Certificate of <br />Con~cndation to <br />C.C.Wilkinsoa <br /> <br />1957-58 Budizet <br /> <br />and the Traffic Officers for the safety record established. <br /> <br />C.C.Wil~inson, Managing Editor of the Register was presented a Certificate of <br />Commendation by F. Martin Post, Regional Director of ;dlState Safety C~sade, for <br />its able and unfailing support of the Traffic Safety Program. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the 1957-1958 Budget, on motion of Council- <br />man Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried~ the hearing was continued until July <br /> <br />Conti~led Hearint~ <br />~North of Smeltzer <br />Bnnexation'~ <br /> <br />This bei~ the date set for the continued hearin~t of protests on annexation to the <br /> <br />Cits, of certain inhabited territory design%areal "North of Smeltzer ;~nnexation", the <br /> <br />Clerk read her report giving the result that the area has a total assessed land <br /> <br />valuation of $1,40!,075.00; the total assessed value of the land represented by the <br /> <br />protestants whose protests were filed, was found to be $776,354.00~ and from these <br /> <br />figures more thm~ 54~'~ of the pror~rty ow~ers have protested against the annexation. <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the hearing closed ~nd determined that protests have bee~ <br /> <br /> <br />
