<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the recommendation
<br />of the Planning Comm~ ssion was approved and the variance of Bristol Park granted to
<br />permit the erection of one lO' x 20' temporary subdivision sign, instead of the
<br />12' x 2~' 'sign requested, on Lot 68, Tract No. 2208,. located on the west side of
<br />Pacific Avenue, l~O' south of St. Andrew Place, subject to a condition.

<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the recommendation
<br />of the Planning Co~muission was approved and the variance of Bristol Park granted to
<br />permit the erection of a 10' x 20' double-face temporary subdivision sign on Lot
<br />90, Tract No. 2209, located at the southwest corner of Bristol Street and St.Andrew
<br />Place, subject to a condition.
<br />
<br />Communication was read from the P]au~ing Commission recmm~ending denial of variance
<br />application of Doris L. Clinton Traxler to permit the conversion of an existing
<br />garage into an apartment on property at 2017 Maple Street, decreasing the required
<br />15' distance between dwellings to 7½'. On motion of Counc~m~n Hubbard, seconded
<br />by Gould and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved
<br />and the variance denied.

<br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending approval, as
<br />amended, of proposed amendment to the Municipal Code, Article IX, Planning and Zoniz ,
<br />by the addition thereto of .a new district to be known as the "General Agricultural
<br />District". On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the
<br />matter was referred to the Attorney for preparation of an Ordinance and the
<br />date of hearing protests set August 5th, 1957.

<br />On motion of Councilm~u Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Preliminary Record
<br />of Survey submitted by Elnoran, Inc., on property located just back of the 150' x
<br />150' parcel of land at the southwest corner of Fairview Avenue and Bristol Street,
<br />with 33~' frontage on Bristol Street and 300' frontage on Fairview Avenue, consist-
<br />lng of ~.483 acres, was approved subject to conditions of the Department of Public
<br />Works.

<br />On motion of Cou~cilm~u Gou~ld, seconded by Markel and carried, Preliminary Record
<br />of Survey submitted by Orange County Develolmment Campany, on property located at the
<br />.northwest corner of Bristol Street and Wilshire Avenue, consisting of 0.513 acres,
<br />was approved subject to conditions of the Department of Public Works.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution
<br />entitled:

<br />fro~ Orange County Develolmuent Company, for an easement for street purposes at the
<br />nor~Swest corner of Wilshire Avenue and Bristol Street, without cash consideration,

<br />bond in the amount of $2,500.00 were approved and agreement ordered signed.
