Hubbard, A. A. Hall, J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heial <br /> Noes, Councilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen Stanley C. Gould, Jr. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following <br /> Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance establishing prima facie speed limits on East <br /> First Street and on Dyer Road" <br /> <br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br /> Communication was read frc~ the Department of Public Works reference proposed <br /> alignment of Chestnut Avenue at Lyon Street, and on motion of Councilman Holl, <br /> seconded by Hubbard and carried, action on the matter w~s postponed. <br /> <br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled <br /> <br /> 'Resolution No. 57-213 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />· establishing a yellow zone on the north side of Second Street between Broadway and <br />Sycamore Str~et, in accordance with reques~of Safe-T-Gal Sign & Decal Company, <br />tenant, and Albright and Younglove, o~ners of the Second and Broadway Building, was <br />considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, A. A. Hall, J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly <br /> Noes, Councilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen Stanley C. Gould, Jr. <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the curb usage comuittee'and on motion of Councilman Markel, <br /> seconded by Hubbard and carried, the request of the First Baptist Church for an <br /> over-size driveway at the new Church now under construction at 1010 West Seventeenth <br /> Street, was granted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the work on Projec2 <br /> C-l~ contracted by Sully-Miller Contracting Company and consisting of paving the <br /> center 22 feet of Santiago Avenue, between Washington Avenue and Santiago Way and <br /> constructing a concrete cross-gutter at the intersection of Santiago Avenue and <br /> Washington Avenue, was accepted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, sedonded by Hall and carried, the petition for <br /> annexation signed by George H. and Margaret G. Rose, communication from the Bounda~ <br /> Comnission advising that the boundaries of the proposed "Sullivan and Willits West <br /> of Annex" are reasonably definite and certain, and from the Planning Commission <br /> recommending approval of proposed annexation, were received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
