No. 57-230 <br />Establish Red Zones <br />both sides Washington <br />between Broadway and <br />Durant St~j~ <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the application of <br />~e Atchison, T:peka and Santa Fe Railwray Company, before the Public Utilities <br />Con,mission, submitt~ supplementary notice concerning applicant's e~hibits, second <br />supplementary notice, third supplementary notice, and compilation of statistical <br />data relatir~g to decline in Railroad passenger traffic,were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the notification of <br />the Department of ~%lcoholic Beverage Control of beverage application of Ruth W. <br />Guest, 2657 North ~.~in Street, was received and filed. <br /> <br />The ~.ixnagcr stated the Fire Station Bumldmng at 625 Cypress Avenue, now being used <br /> <br />by The National Guard, will soon be vacant and suggested that the necessary recon- <br /> <br />struction work be started at the earliest possible date for the building to be <br /> <br />used as an Adult Recre~tional Center. On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by <br />Hubbard and Carried, aCtion On the matter was continued until September' 16, 1957. <br />The Manager requested that the 1957-58 Budget be amended by transferring from the <br /> <br />General Fund Il-311-111 to 51-311-612, funds in the sum of $900.00 for rotary files <br /> <br />for the Department of Building Safety and Housing. On motion of Councilman <br /> <br />Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the transfer of ~unds was approved. <br /> <br />The communication from the Traffic Engineer with copy of letter from the State <br /> <br />Division of Highways reference left turns in two lanes on Main Street and Santa <br /> <br />Clara Avenue, were received and filed. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, secondad by Gould and carried, the following Resolute0n entitle~ <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 57-227 concernin~z parking limitations and curb <br />markings in accordance there%rlth" <br /> <br />establishing a green zone on the east side of French Street between Fourteenth <br /> <br />Street and Fifteenth Street, reference request of the Board of Education, was con- <br /> <br />sidereal and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E.
