A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />FIXING CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE INSTALLATION AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-118 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> 1. That the following rates are to be charged prior to installation <br />of water service, for each water service installed by the Water Division of the <br />Department of Public Works, as provided for in Section 39-19 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code: <br /> <br />A. WATER SERVICE <br /> <br />SIZE OF SERVICE <br /> <br />COST OF SERVICE INSTALLATION <br /> <br />1" $220.O0 <br />1 1/2" $500.00 <br />2" $625.O0 <br /> <br /> The rate to be charged for relocating a service meter a distance <br />of fifteen (15) feet or less shall be one-half the said cost of service in- <br />stallation, based upon the size of service, and the rate charged for relocat- <br />ing a service meter a distance of more than fifteen (15) feet shall be the <br />same as for the cost of service installation, based upon the size of service. <br /> <br /> The rate to be charged for an increase in the size of service <br />shall be the same as for cost of service installation for the larger size <br />service. <br /> <br />B. SERVICE INSTALLATION OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS <br /> <br /> The rate to be charged for installation of water service out- <br />side the City limits shall be the same as for installation within the City. <br /> <br />C. DEPOSIT <br /> <br /> The installation of larger services, fire services, backflow <br />protection devices, or any other service not mentioned herein, nor specifi- <br />cally provided for in any other ordinance or resolution of the City of Santa <br />Ana, shall be made on the basis of cost, including overhead. In any such <br />installation, the applicant shall post the deposit in an amount estimated <br />by the Director of Public ~'~orks to be sufficient to cover the total charge. <br />In the event the actual cost is less than the deposit, the balance shall <br />be refunded to the applicant, and if more, shall be paid by the applicant <br />upon receipt of additional billing. <br /> <br /> 2. That no charge shall be made if the applicant installs the <br />water service at his own expense, to the satisfaction of the Director of <br />Public Works. <br /> <br /> 3. That Resolution No. 75-118 fixing charges for water service <br />installations is hereby repealed, effective October l, 1976. <br /> <br /> 4. That this resolution shall be operative from and after the <br />1st day of October, 1976. <br /> <br /> <br />
