MJK:nr RESOLUTION NO. 75-118 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE INSTALLATION AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 74-141 BE IT RESOLVED: That the following rates are to be charged prior to installation of water service, for each water service installed by the Water Division of the Department of Public Works, as provided for in Section 39-19 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code: A. WATER SERVICE SIZE OF SERVICE COST OF SERVICE INSTALLATION l" $200.O0 1 1/2" $500.00 2" $625.00 The rate to be charged for relocating a service meter a distance of fifteen (15) feet or less shall be one-half the said cost of service in- stallation, based upon the size of service, and the rate charged for relocat- ing a service meter a distance of more than fifteen (15) feet shall be the same as for the cost of service installation, based upon the size of service. The rate to be charged for an increase in the size of service shall be the same as for cost of service installation for the larger size service. B. SERVICE INSTALLATION OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS The rate to be charged for installation of water service out- side the City limits shall be the same as for installation within the City. C. DEPOSIT The installation of larger services, fire services, backflow protection devices, or any other service not mentioned herein, nor specifi- cally provided for in any other ordinance or resolution of the City of Santa Ana, shall be made on the basis of cost, including overhead. In any such installation, the applicant shall post the deposit in an amount estimated by the Director of Public Works to be sufficient to cover the total charge. In the event the actual cost is less than the deposit, the balance shall be refunded to the applicant, and if more, shall be paid by the applicant upon receipt of additional billing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That no charge shall be made if the applicant installs the water service at his own expense, to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Resolution No. 74-141 fixing charges for water service installations is hereby repealed, effective 10-1-75. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this resolution shall be operative from and after the Ist day of October, 1975.
