<br />Division, Santa Aha Chamber of Commerce advising that effective September 6, 1957,
<br />
<br />BJ Electronics Borg-Warner Corporation was denied the right of ingress and egress
<br />
<br />from their Santa Aha Plant located at 3300 Newport Boulevard by the State Division
<br />
<br />of Highways, causing many objectionable conditions for this local industry, and
<br />
<br /> On recommendation of the curb usage c~m,,!ttee and on motion of Counc~lm-n Hubbard,
<br /> seconded by Gould and carried, the request of C.A.Rousseau, Jr., 1202 South Main
<br /> Street, was denied, that a one-hour parking limit be established in the two spaces
<br /> on Russell Street, in front of the Launderette side doors.

<br />Communication was read from John C. Briley, 13202 Borchard Avenue, on behalf of the
<br />Santa Aha Gardens Improvement Association, requesting that a traffic signal be in-
<br />stalled at Edinger Street in close proximity to the Smedley Junior High School and
<br />Diamond Elementary School, plus a reduced speed lfm~t and more stringent enforcemen
<br />of the speed laws. It was moved by Councilman N-!l, seconded by Hubbard and car-
<br />ried that no action be taken at this time and the M~neger instructed to answer Mr.
<br />Britey's letter advising that this location w4]] be placed on the traffic signal
<br />priority list, the signal to be installed when conditions
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the curb usage c~mm~ttee and on motion of Counci!~n Hubbard,
<br />seconded by Gould and carried, the request of T.T.Pearson for a 35 foot driveway ati
<br />1247 South Bristol Street was granted in order to comply with provision as imposed
<br />on Variance granted November 5, 1956, for au insurance office.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the rea~!~g of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Counct]~n Nubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitle
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 57-251 authorizing execution and delivery of
<br /> Quit-Claim Deed to permit driveway access to First Street"
<br />
