Request On recommendation of the Department of Public Works and on motion of Councilman <br />Chmrles C. Carrillo <br />(remove curbing on Markel, seconded by Gould and carried, the request of Attorney Clifford J. Baxter, <br />First Street) <br /> ~ on behalf of Charles C. Carrillo, owner of property at the northeast corner of <br /> First aud Garnsey Streets, was denied, to remove the curbing, facing on First Street, <br /> for a distance of approximately 45 feet, thereby makin~ an approximate 60 foot <br /> approach to the premises, which is to be used for a parking lot. <br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Reso.No. 57-271 <br />Establish green zone <br />Smedley Jr. High <br />School ~\% <br /> <br />Requsst <br />Board of Education <br /> <br />Reso. No. 57-273 <br />Establish red zones <br />North and south sides <br />Edinger between Bristol <br />and Magnolia Ave. <br /> <br />MAYOR OF THE CITY F ~ <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitle~: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 57-271 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing a green zone on the south side of Edinger Street between Center and <br />Bristol Streets, reference request of Smedley Junior High School, was considered <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., <br /> A.A.Hall, J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />A report from the City Attorney was read reference request of the Board of Educatio! <br />that an enabling Ordinance be adopted in regard to the internal control of the <br />traffic on the Campus at the Santa Aha College. On motion of Councilman Gould, <br />seconded by Hubbard and carried, the report was received, filed and a copy ordered <br />forwarded to the Secretary of the Board of Education. <br /> <br />The Council havin~ unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution <br />entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 57-272 concerning p~rklng limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing a red zone on the west side of Spurgeon Street between Ninth and Tenth <br />Streets, as recommended by the Department of Public Works, was considered and passe~ <br /> <br />by the followin~ vote: <br /> <br />Aye s ~ Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E.
