Heinly <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance No. NS-290 amending Article IX of the Santa Ana <br />Munieips~l Code creating changes in district boundaries, and <br />amending Sheet No. 44 of the Districting Map to show the <br />reclassification" <br /> <br />of property situated on the west side of McClay Street, beginning at a point approx- <br /> <br />imately 1,588.75 feet north of the northwest corner of McFadden and McClay Streets, <br /> <br />with approximately 300 feet frontage on McClay Street, extending to a depth of <br /> <br />approximately 125 feet west of McClay Street, from the R-1 District to the M-1 <br /> <br />District, reference amendment application of Ralph J. Mitchell, was considered and <br /> <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E. Hubbard, A. A. Ogden Markel <br />None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance No. NS-291 amending Article IX of the Santa Ana <br /> Municipal Code creating changes ia district bouniaries, and <br /> amending Sheet No. 64 and adding Sheet No. 67 of the Districting <br /> Map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br />of property situated south of Delhi Road, west of Bristol Street and 250 feet north <br /> <br />of Talbert Road with a depth of approximately 1700 feet west of Bristol Street, from <br /> <br />the R-1 District to the M-1 District, reference amendment application of Antone <br /> <br />Borchard, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Aye s, Councilmen <br /> <br />Nos s, Councilmen <br />Absent~ Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E. Arthur Nisson, Jr., on behalf of Murphy K. <br /> <br />Zlaket requesting the abandonment and vacation of a portion of the 14.75 foot alley <br /> <br />running east from Main ~treet to Bush Street between Lots 1 and 2 of Phelps Subdiv- <br /> <br />ision, north of 20th Street, and on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall <br /> <br />and carried, the request was referred to the Planning Co~ission for reconmmendation. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~lmau Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the communication <br /> <br />from the American Municipal Association was received and filed extending an invitati( <br /> <br />to the Council and Officials to attend the 34th annual American Municipal Congress <br /> <br />to be held in San Francisco Deceml~er 1-4, 1957. <br /> <br />The Coancil having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 57-269 amending Section ~ of Resolution No. <br /> 5114 as amended, entitled 'Resolution establishing a basic <br /> compensation plan for certain classes of employment in the <br /> Municipal Service of the City of Santa Aha, and establishing <br /> regulations for the placement of present employees within <br /> the wage and salary schedules provided'~" <br /> by adding to the list of Class Titles the Class Title of '~ight-of-Way Aid", was <br /> considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E.
