REL:nr <br />12-8-76 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76~S0 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT <br />OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIGNATING ~3.55 <br />ACRES LOCATED BETWEEN ROSS, VAN NESS, FIRST, <br />AND THIRD STREETS FROM GOVERNMENT AND CIVIC <br />FACILITIES TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its November 22, <br />1976, regular meeting, following public hearing noticed and held <br />in the manner prescribed in Section 27-16 of the Santa Ana Muni- <br />cipal Code, has approved and recommended to this Council an amend- <br />ment to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter <br />set forth; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, on December 20, 1976, has held a <br />public hearing, duly noticed, in accordance with Section 27-17 <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, and based upon such hearing and <br />the evidence therein presented, does now find the said amendment, <br />as recommended by the Planning Commission, to be in the public <br />interest; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action, has <br />reviewed and considered the information contained in the Environ- <br />mental Impact Report prepared and certified by the Santa Ana Re- <br />development Agency as the lead agency for the project proposed <br />for the area of this General Plan amendment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Land Use Element <br />of the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended by <br />deleting a site consisting of approximately 13.55 acres, located <br />between Ross, Van Ness, First, and Third streets, from the Govern- <br />ment and Civic Facilities designation and redesignating such site <br />as High-density Residential, in accordance with that certain docu- <br />ment entitled "Exhibit 76-5, General Plan Amendment 76-5," on file <br />with the Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED, this <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES, <br /> <br />NOES, <br /> <br />ZOth day of December , 1976, by <br /> <br /> Yamamoto, Bricken, Ortiz, <br /> COUNCILMEN: Garthe, Brandt, Ward <br /> <br /> COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />ABSENT, <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: Evans <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />KEITH L.
