RESOLUTION NO. 77-13 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD THE CLASS <br />TITLE OF FIRE PREVENTION AIDE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers <br />and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ama <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification <br />and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the <br />City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 20, 1976, the City Council in allocating certain anti- <br />recession funds received under Title II of thm Public Works Employment Act of 1976, <br />authorized the addition of three temporary employees to the Fire Department Prevention <br />Bureau staff in order to strengthen its program of public education; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the three employees will be used in a special six-month fire safety <br />education project to conduct group presentations and household visits to provide general <br />fire safety instruction, promote installation of fire-warning devices, and advise on <br />family planning for escape routes during fires; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to implement this project, it is now desired to add a new <br />title to the list of class titles listed in the City's Classification and Pay Plan <br />and to allocate salary and wage schedules thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as <br />amended, is hereby further amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the <br />following class title together with the salary range numbers on the effective dates <br />as next herein set out: <br /> <br />SALARY RANGE NUMBER <br />BY EFFECTIVE DATE: <br /> <br />CLASS TITLE 1-1-77 1-1-78 4-1-78 <br /> <br />Fire Prevention Aide <br /> <br />255 260 265 <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on February i, 1977. <br /> <br />ADOPTED, this 25th day of January , 1977, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: Yamamoto, Brsndt, Ortiz, Evans, Ward <br /> <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Bricken, Garthe <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br /> <br />
