RESOLUTION NO. 77~14 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD THE NEW MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT <br />CLASS OF FACILITIES MANAGER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers and <br />employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification <br />and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the <br />City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amemded said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to add a new position in the Department of Recreation <br />and Parks in order to consolidate certain existing and proposed functions for the <br />purpose of improving the promotion, development, utilization and management of municipal <br />recreational and cultural public use facilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to properly classify said new position, it is now desired to <br />add a new class to the City's Classification and Pay Plan, to designate such class <br />as being Unrepresented Middle-Management, and to assign to it appropriate salary <br />ranges according to the City's current two-year salary adjustment program. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as <br />amended, is hereby further amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the <br />following class title together with the parenthetical designation (MM) and salary <br />range numbers on the effective dates as next herein set out: <br /> <br />CLASS TITLE <br /> <br />Facilities Manager (MM) <br /> <br />SALARY RANGE NUMBER <br />BY EFFECTIVE DATE: <br /> <br />1-1-77 1-1-78 4-1-78 <br /> 420 427 436 <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on February 1, 1977. <br /> <br />ADOPTED, this 25th day of January , 1977, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: Yamamoto, Ward, Ortiz, Evans, Brandt <br /> <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />Bricken, Garthe <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br /> <br />
