<br />Communication was read from the Board of Education and Santiago School P.T.A. re-
<br />
<br />questing the installation of a traffic signal at the corner of Santa Clara A~enue
<br />
<br />and Bristol Street. It was moved by Counci]m~u Hubbard, seconded by Markel and
<br />
<br />carried, that the Board of Education be advised the City has a priority list reg,-
<br />
<br />lating the inst~11 ration of traffic signals and this particular location is the
<br />
<br />twenty-fifth on the list.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, action was continue
<br />
<br />indefinitely on the request of Skiatron T.V.System for a license to build,
<br />
<br />equip, o~rn, maintain and operate a closed circuit T.V. system.
<br />
<br />T~e Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Hall, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 57-289 concerning parking limitations and curb
<br />markings in accordance therewith"
<br />
<br />establishing a yellow loading zone on the west side of Main Street between Fourth
<br />
<br />and Fifth Streets, reference request of Leed's Shoe Store, was considered a~l passe~
<br />
<br />by the following vote:

<br />Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Hall and carried, the following Resolution entitled

<br />"Resolution No. 57-290 concerning parking limitations and curb
<br />markings in accordance therewith"

<br />removing three 24-minute parking meters on the east side of Spurgeon Street between
<br />
<br />Second and Third Streets, was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />Councilman Markel suggested that a committee be appointed to recommend regulations
<br />
<br />regarding the operation of ambulances in the City. It w~s moved by Councilman
<br />
<br />Markel, seconded by Gould and carried, that the matter of regulating ambulances,
<br />
<br />t~xis and buses be referred to the Orange County League of Cities.

<br />On motion of Councilmen Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the petition signed
<br />
<br />~y P~lmateer-Birdwell, Inc., report of the Planning Commission recommending
<br />
<br />of proposa~ to annex property situated on the east side of Center Street, beginning
<br />
<br />at a point 330 fee~ north of the center line intersection of Center and Edinger
<br />
<br />Streets, thence extending north on Center Street 3~1.60 feet, and west for a
<br />
<br />distance of 657.98 feet, consisting of approximately 5.016 acres, known as "Center
<br />
<br />and Borchard East Annex", and report from the Boundary Commission advising that the
<br />
<br />boundaries are reasonably definite and certain although it does cut property
<br />
<br />logically, were received and filed.
<br />
<br />The Council having une~imously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />Councilmen Hubbard, seconded by N~ ~ and carried, the following Resolution entitled
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 57-291 giving notice of proposed annexation to the
<br />City of Santa Aha of that certain uninhabited territory described
<br />herein and designated 'Center and Borchard E. Annex', and giving
<br />notice of time and place for hearing of protests thereto"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:
