<br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the annual report
<br /> for the fiscal year 1956-1957, submitted by Ethel W~lker, Librarian, was received
<br /> aud filed.

<br /> On motion of Councd~m~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the application of
<br /> Metropolitan Coach Lines before the Public Utilities Commission, for authority to
<br /> ~mend the route descriptions of the follow-lng lines: Line 58 - in Whittier and
<br /> Anaheim; Line 59 - in Santa Ana and Corona; Line 60 - in West Covina, Fontana,
<br /> Riverside and Redlands, and Line 61 - in Whittier, so as to conSorm to actual
<br /> operations, was received and filed.

<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Markel and carried, the notifications
<br />of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control of beverage applications of Henry
<br />J. and Rita M. Harm~n, 315 North Sycamore Street, Edward B. and Clarel M. Zickert,
<br />1002 South Orange Avenue and Beatrice R. and William M. Levine, 510 North Main
<br />Street, were received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the Minutes of the
<br />Board of Trustees of Orange County Mosquito Abatement District of meeting held
<br />December 20, 1957, were received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilm~u Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the request of
<br />Emmet C. Rogers was granted for an extension of one year on Tentative Tract No.
<br />~205~ on property located between Baker and Greenbrier Streets and between 19th
<br />and 22nd Streets, consisting of twenty-three lots.
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the Department of Public Works and on motion of Councilman
<br />Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the request of ~iiller Iron Works was
<br />granted for three over-size driveways on McClay Street north of Delhi Road.
<br />
<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Counc~lm~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution
<br />entitled:

<br /> "Resolution No. 58-3 concerning portable loadin~ zone signs"
<br />
<br />declaring that the Temple Beth Sholom, 206 East Eighth Street, may purchase and
<br />use, during hours when church services demaniit, two portable parking signs, to
<br />be placed only on the south side of Eighth Street between Bush and Spurgeon Street
<br />for a distance of 60 feet, as recommended by the Department of Public Works, was
<br />considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, action was con-
<br />tinued until the next regular meeting on the request of Orange County Wholesale
<br />Food Distributors, 3%6 East Third Street, for the establishment of a loading zone
<br />on French Street.
<br />
<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution
<br />entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 58-k concerning parking limitations and curb
<br /> markings in accordance therewith"
<br />
<br />establishing a red zone and installing two 2~ minute parking meters on the south
<br />side of East Third Street between Main and Bush Streets, as recommended by the
<br />Department of Public Works, was considered and passed by the following vote:
