<br /> This being the date set for hearing, the amendment application of Erwin Eisenbraun,
<br /> et al was considered for reclassification, from R-1 and R-2 Districts to R-~
<br /> District, of property bounded on the north by Sixth Street, on the east by the
<br /> Santa Ana Freeway, on the south by first alley south of Fourth Street, and on the
<br /> west, in part, by Eastside Avenue, and in part by a line parallel to and 1BO feet
<br /> of the east side of Eastside Avenue. The Planning Commission recommended denial

<br /> Attoyney Arthur Nisson, representing the applicant, said they would consider having
<br /> the property rezoned to an R-2 District instead of R-~ District. On motion of
<br /> Councilman Hall, seconded by Could and carried, the recommendation of the Planning
<br /> Commission was approved and the amendment application of Erwin Eisenbraun, et sl
<br /> denied, without prejudice, so that the applicant may re-apply during the next six
<br /> months for zone change to R-2 District.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Map of Tract N~.
<br /> 5245 filed by Orange County Development Company, for the dedication of Lingan Lane,
<br /> Dahl Lane, Poplar Street and alleys, and bond in the amount of $~5,000.00 were
<br /> approved, license payment fee in the sum of $1~50.00 accepted and ~greement cover-
<br /> lng improvements was ordered signed.

<br /> On motion of Councilman Gould~ seconded by Markel and carried, the recommendation
<br /> of the Planning C~ission ~as approved and the variance application of G.J.Nardull~
<br /> granted to permit the construction of a five-unit apartment building on property
<br /> located at the northwest corner of Valencia Avenue and the Freeway ramp, in accord-
<br /> ance with new plot plan submitted and subject to conditions of the Department of
<br /> Public ~orks, the Planning Ccem~iss~on and the further condition that the dedicated

<br />It was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Hall and carried, that the action be
<br />reconsidered. On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the
<br />variance application and the vacation of an alley located between Lots 9 and l0 in
<br />Nob Hill Tract, just north of the Santa Ana Freeway off Valencia Street, was con-
<br />tinued until the next meeting.

<br />On motion of Couucilm~ Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, action was continue~
<br />until February 17, 1958, on variance application of Wise Service Welding to permit
<br />the erection of a 40' x 150' craneway on property at 2516 South Cypress Avenue, for
<br />the handling~ storing and fabricating of structural steel, in a C-2-PK District.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Could, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the recommendation
<br />of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance of George A. and Pearl A.
<br />Cruzan granted to permit construction of two new single-family dwellings on
<br />at 2127 Cypress Avenue, in an R-2 District, subject to conditions of the Planning
<br />Cc~mission and the Department of Public Works.
