KLG:rs <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 77-85 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING AND ESTABLISHING-- ~-~-~ <br />THE COMPENSATION FOR THE OFFICE OF CITY <br />MANAGER OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, EFFEC- <br />TIVE JULY 1, 1977, AND REPEALING RESOLU- <br />TIONS INCONSISTENT HEREWITH. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 30, 1977, the City Manager delivered <br />to this Council a report concerning a proposed salary adjust- <br />ment for the office hereinbelow specified; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has intended, and now intends, <br />that said adjustment be effective from and after July 1, 1977, <br />on which date the salary rate for said office was indefinite and <br />subject to future determination, but has been unable to deter- <br />mine said salary adjustment until this date by reason of the <br />fact that insufficient time has been available until the present <br />date in which to consider the matter fully and make the deter- <br />mination hereinbelow set forth. For said reason, this Council <br />finds and determines that said salary adjustment, hereinbelow <br />specified, shall be retroactive to July 1, 1977. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> 1. That the salary for the office of the City Manager <br />of the City of Santa Ana is hereby fixed and established at <br />$ 3,976.00 per month. <br /> <br /> 2. That said salary shall be paid in the same manner <br />and at the same times as other monthly salaries in the City <br />are paid, and shall take effect and be paid from and after <br />July 1, 1977. <br /> <br /> 3. In addition to the salary hereinabove fixed and <br />established for said office, said officer shall receive, as <br />additional compensation, the following employee benefits: <br /> <br />(a) Deferred Compensation <br /> <br /> Said officer shall receive as deferred com- <br />pensation an amount equal to one percent (1%) of <br />his or her monthly salary. The amounts contributed <br />by the City under this provision shall be subject to <br />the terms and conditions of the City of Santa Ana <br />Deferred Compensation Plan, and subject further to <br />the conditions that: <br /> <br /> i. Said officer shall not have any <br />vested right in the amounts contributed <br />by the City until termination of employ- <br />ment with City; <br /> <br /> ii. City will pay the total amount <br />of contributions plus any earnings thereon <br />to said officer upon termination, resigna- <br />tion, retirement, dismissal or death. <br /> <br />(b) Health Insurance <br /> <br /> The City will contribute the following <br />amounts toward the payment of the premiums <br /> <br /> <br />
