That the salary for the office of the City Manager <br />of the City of Santa Ana is hereby fixed and established at <br />$3,583.00 per month. <br /> <br /> 2. That said salary shall be paid in the same manner <br />and at the same times as other monthly salaries in the City are <br />paid, and shall take effect and be paid from and after <br />February 20, 1979. <br /> <br /> 3. In addition to the salary hereinabove fixed and <br />established for said office, said officer shall receive, as <br />additional compensation, the following employee benefits: <br /> <br />(a) Deferred Compensation <br /> <br /> Said officer shall receive as deferred com- <br />pensation an amount equal to one percent (1%) of <br />his or her monthly salary. The amounts contributed <br />by the City under this provision shall be subject <br />to the terms and conditions of the City of Santa <br />Ana Deferred Compensation Plan, and subject further <br />to the conditions that: <br /> <br /> i. Said officer shall not have any <br />vested right in the amounts contributed <br />by the City until termination of employ- <br />ment with City; <br /> <br /> ii. City will pay the total amount <br />of contributions plus any earnings thereon <br />to said officer upon termination, resigna- <br />tion, retirement, dismissal or death. <br /> <br />(b) Health Insurance <br /> <br /> The City will contribute the following <br />amounts toward the payment of the premiums <br />for said officer and dependents, if applicable, <br />under the existing health insurance program <br />(or a new program providing substantially <br />similar coverage and benefits): <br /> <br /> i. If the officer aforesaid does <br />not have dependents included under the <br />program, one hundred percent (100%) of <br />the premiums; <br /> <br /> ii. If the officer aforesaid has <br />dependents included under the program, <br />an amount equal to ninety percent (90%) <br />of the total premium applicable to the <br />"family plan" covering said officer and <br />his or her dependents. <br /> <br /> <br />
