RESOLUTION NO. 77-88 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO CHANGE A CLASS TITLE AND <br />ADD NEW CLASS TITLES FOR CERTAIN NEW POSITIONS AUTHORIZED <br />IN THE 1977-78 ANNUAL BUDGET PERTAINING TO PHASE II OF <br />RECREATION AND PARKS REORGANIZATION PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers <br />and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification <br />and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval of the <br />City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the recently adopted Annual Budget for the Recreation and Parks <br />Department includes several new positions for the implementation of Phase II of <br />the department's Reorganization Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to properly allocate certain of these new positions to the <br />City's Classification and Pay Plan, it is necessary to establish three new classifi- <br />cations and assign salary and wage schedules thereto and change the title of an <br />existing class: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as <br />amended, is hereby further amended by: <br /> <br />Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class <br />titles at the salary range numbers on the effective dates as <br />next herein set out: <br /> <br />CLASS TITLE <br /> <br /> SALARY RANGE NU~ERS <br />8-1-77 1-1-78 4-1-78 <br /> <br />Horticultural Supervisor 373 380 389 <br />Parks and Trees Superintendent 420 427 436 <br />Zoo Curator 379 386 395 <br /> <br />Designating the new class of Parks and Trees Superintendent as <br />Unrepresented Middle-Management by adding the parenthetical <br />designation "(MM)" next to the title. <br /> <br />3.
