RESOLUTION NO. 77-91 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD NEW CLASSES OF FIRE SAFETY ASSISTANT AND FIRE SAFETY SPECIALIST I AUTHORIZED IN THE 1977-78 ANNUAL BUDGET WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and WHEREAS, the recently adopted annual budget for the Fire Department includes several new positions to implement a reorganization and civilianization of the Fire Safety (Prevention) Bureau as provided for in the City's Fire Protection Master Plan reorgani- zation; and WHEREAS, in order to properly allocate certain of these new positions to the City's Classification and Pay Plan, it is necessary to establish two new classifications and assign salary and wage schedules thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles at the salary range numbers on the effective dates as next herein set out: Salary Range Numbers Class Title 8-1-77 1-1-78 4-1-78 Fire Safety Assistant 270 277 284 Fire Safety Specialist I 290 297 304 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on August 16, 1977.
