RESOLUTION NO. 77-91 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD NEW CLASSES OF FIRE <br />SAFETY ASSISTANT AND FIRE SAFETY SPECIALIST I AUTHORIZED <br />IN THE 1977-78 ANNUAL BUDGET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers and <br />employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification <br />and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the approval of the <br />City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the recently adopted annual budget for the Fire Department includes several <br />new positions to implement a reorganization and civilianization of the Fire Safety <br />(Prevention) Bureau as provided for in the City's Fire Protection Master Plan reorgani- <br />zation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to properly allocate certain of these new positions to the City's <br />Classification and Pay Plan, it is necessary to establish two new classifications and <br />assign salary and wage schedules thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, <br />is hereby further amended by adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class <br />titles at the salary range numbers on the effective dates as next herein set out: <br /> <br /> Salary Range Numbers <br />Class Title 8-1-77 1-1-78 4-1-78 <br /> <br />Fire Safety Assistant 270 277 284 <br />Fire Safety Specialist I 290 297 304 <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on August 16, 1977. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED, this 15th day of <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: Yamamoto, <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: None <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Bricken, <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> FIOI~NC~ I.
