<br />On motion of Counc~m~. Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the personal check

<br />of J.A.Sarinan~, in the amoumt of $275.00, filed in lieu of bond on Record of

<br />Survey on property situated on the west side of English Street, beginning at a
<br />
<br />point 87.47 feet south of the center line of Eighth Street, consisting of four lots
<br />
<br />was ordered released and improvements accepted as ccmpleted.

<br /> Aviation composed of four members of the House and four members of the Senate to
<br /> deal with this traffic control problem now,

<br /> On motion of Counct~me- Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the Purchasing
<br />
<br />Agent was granted permission to advertise for sale certain automotive equipment
<br />
<br />declared to be surplus property and to hold an auction at the Corporation Yard on
<br />
<br />March 22, 1958; the Purchasing Agent to act as Auctioneer and Clerk.
<br />
<br />The Mayor stated that the Santa Ann Junior Chember of C~,merce has returned to the
<br />
<br />City the sum of $~94.80 being the unused portion of the amount contributed by the
<br />
<br />City for the 1957 Santa Annual Frolic. It was moved by Councilman Hall, seconded
<br />
<br />by Hubbard and carried, that the check be accepted with thanks and a letter for-
<br />
<br />warded to the Junior Chamber of C~rce c~nding them for their conservatism.
<br />
<br />On motion of Counci!~en Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the application of
<br />
<br />Carlos Gutierrez requesting a Special License to preach on the northwest corner of
<br />
<br />Adams and Halladay Streets, beginning Sunday, April 6, 1958, for the s, mm~r period
<br />
<br />every Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., and to use an amplifier or loud speaker
<br />
<br />controlled from an automobile, was referred to the Administrative Staff for report
<br />
<br />at the next meeting.
<br />
<br />It was moved by Councll~u Hubbard,
<br />
<br />seconded by Markel and carried, that action be
<br />
<br />continued until the next meeting on the request of A.E.Fowler & Sons, for a lease,
<br />
<br />for at least five years, to remove sand and dirt from City property in the Santa
<br />
<br />Ann River, south of Garden Grove Boulevard, and offering to pay ten cents per
<br />
<br />
