Heinly <br />None <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />As Reverend Carl Berger did not appear to give the inv O~ation, the <br />meeting was opened with a silent prayer. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes <br />of ~arch 17 and March 28, 1958, reading of the Minutes was dispensed <br />with and approved on motion of Councflm~n Hubbard, seconded by Hall <br />and carried. <br /> <br />Presentation of Mayor Dale H. Heinly presented a merit certificate and a cash award to Margaret <br />Safety award <br /> ~#~ ~ ~ ~ ~.~ ~ Helen Tuchek, 1421 South Garnsey Street, Santa Aha, who was the outstanding driver <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Improvements of Delhi <br />Road and other streets <br />Assessment District <br />No. 197 <br />Reso. The Council <br /> <br />havim~ unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman <br /> <br />Markel, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 58-87 of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />California, awarding contract to Sully-Miller Contracting Company <br />within the City in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 5~-15" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Cement lined cast <br />iron water pipe <br /> <br />Ayes, Council~en Royal E. Annex" <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Hall and carried, the bid of United States Pipe and Foundry Company, at the total <br />price of $49,440.00 was accepted and the other bids rejected. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on annexation to the City of certain uninhabite, <br />territory designated "Fairview and Center N.W. Annex", and there being no protests, <br />on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following <br /> <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory <br />designated 'Fairviewand Center N.W. Annex'" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
