<br /> On motion of Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the communication
<br /> from Vice-Chairman, Board of Recreation and Parks advising of the termination of
<br /> terms of office of George Townsend and LaVerne Means, effective July l, 1958, and
<br /> recoumaending their re-appointment, and communication from State of California,
<br />
<br /> Department of Public Works, advising that the quarterly allocation of gas tax funds
<br />~#4/to the City of Santa Ana for the period ending March 31, 1958, is $49,586.83,'were
<br /> received and filed.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following re-
<br /> quests were granted: Board of Education for a 35 foot driveway on lkth Street near
<br /> French Street, and Bullock's,North Main Street, for five over-size driveways.
<br /> On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the Manager was
<br /> instructed to m~We an investigation as to the condition at First Street and Van Nest
<br /> Avenue, with reference to juvenile delinquency.

<br /> On motion of Counc~]man Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, proper officials
<br /> ware authorized to execute an smendment to agreement entitled "Santa Ana College
<br /> Swimming Pool Agreement", dated April 21, 1~58, with the Board of Education,
<br /> approving a change in item Numbered 2 of said agreement.

<br /> On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following
<br /> Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance emending Section 3302 of the Uniform Building Code"
<br />
<br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Counci]mmn Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the petition signed
<br /> and
<br /> by Robert L. Subriar,/_report of the Boundary Commission advising the boundaries of
<br />
<br /> territory designated "Memory ~mne and Baker N. Annex" are reasonably definite and
<br /> certain, were received and filed.
<br />
<br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br /> Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution No. 58-126 giving notice of proposed annexation to
<br /> the City of Santa Aha of that certain uninhabited territory
<br /> described herein and designated 'Memory Lane and Baker N. Annex',
<br /> and giving notice of time and place for hearing of protests thereto"
<br />
<br /> setting the date of hearing on June 16, 1958, was considered and passed by the fol-
<br />
<br />lowing vote:

<br />On motion of Counctlm-u Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, communication frem
<br />the Planning Commission recommending approval of proposed annexation of property
<br />consisting of an irregular-shaped parcel of land situated on the north side of
<br />Talbert Avenue and on the east side of the Santa Aha River, consisting of approx-
<br />imately 39.389 acres, report from the Boundary Co~nission advising the boundaries
<br />are reasonably definite and certain, and petition sigmed by W.F. Croddy, were
<br />received and filed.

<br />The Councilhaviag unanimously w~ived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
