Annex", consisting of 0.~8 <br />acres, situated on the north side of Memory Lane adjoining the east City boundary <br />line of the City property which is opposite Baker Street. On motion of Counci~n <br />Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the communication was received and filed. <br />Conmmmication from Attorney John D. Cochran petitioning for a rehearing on <br /> <br />Map filed on the property at the northwest corner of Evergreen Street and St. Andrew <br />Place~ of Trino M. Reynoso, and letter from Wilmoth D. and John W. Hall were read <br />offering no obJectiun to the construction of the house on said property if a fence <br />is constructed between the two properties~ On motion of ColLucilmsn Gould, seconded <br />by Hall and carried, the communications were received and filed. Attorney Cochran <br />stated the Hall property is directly north of subject property, and the Reynoso <br />property is being improved with fence, shrubs, curbs, gutters and sidewalks on Ever- <br />green Street, up to and including the Hall proper~y. Ogden Markel <br /> Councilmen None <br /> <br />On motion of Counci~m~u Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the request of David <br />Wellbrook of the House of David, was granted to preach on the street in front of <br />Penney's, at Fourth and Bush Streets, every evening, except Friday and Saturday, <br />from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M., and offer free literature, for a period of sixmonths, and <br />subject to the condition that a public address system not be used~ <br /> <br />A petition was presented signed by property owners to provide for street improvement: <br />on portions of Towner Street between Fairview and Russell, portions of Russell <br />Lowell and Rosewood, portions of Rosewood between Borchard and Russell, portions of <br />Wilshire between Olive and Rosewood, and portions of Borchard between Olive and <br />Rosewood, involving a total of 21 parcels of property, and on motion of CounciLman <br />Markel, seconded by Hall and carried, the petition and map were received and filed. <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the Department of <br />Public Works was directed to prepare the necessary plans and specifications and the <br />petition was referred to the Clerk for checking the percentage of valid signatures <br />with the records of the County Assessor's Office. <br /> <br />Communication was read from George Buban requesting reconsideration of variance <br />application to permit the removal of all existing improvements on property at 1414 <br />Durant Street, in an R-2 District, and to construct a new two-story, eight-unit <br />apartment building, with four one-bedroom apartments on each floor, each apartment <br />to contain a minimum of 600 square feet, off-street parking space to be provided for <br />eight cars, a&Jacent to a 20-foot paved alley.
