<br />Invocation was given by Reverend Lloyd ~,nger of the First Baptist Church.

<br />Each member of the City Council havi~g received copies of the Minutes of
<br />June 2, 1958 and June 12, 1958, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with
<br />and approved on motion of Counctlm-n Hubbard, seconded by W~ll a~ carried.

<br />$800.00, deleting Alternate I, was accepted, and all other bids were rejected.
<br />
<br />The Mayor announced this is the time and place for hearing protests or objections
<br />against the improvement of Daisy, Myrtle and Pine Streets, in Assessment District
<br />No. 198, as described in Resolution of Intention No. 58-129, and asked the Clerk
<br />if she was in possession of the affidavit of publication, affidavit of posting and
<br />
<br />affidavit of mailing. The Clerk stated she had the affidavits, and on motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Hall and carried, the affidavits w~re received and
<br />
<br />filed. ~e Mayor asked the Clerk if she had received any written protests or
<br />
<br />objections against the doing of the proposed work. The Clerk stated she had no
<br />
<br />written protests. The Mayor aa~ed if there were any oral protests, and there bei~
<br />no~, on motion of Counct!'mn ltubba.~:l, seconded by .l:[?ll and ca~ied, the hearing
<br />
<br />closed. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution,
<br />
<br />on motion of Counc~tm-n Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following
<br />
<br />Resolution entitled:
