<br />A communication was presented from Attorneys Rimel and Johnston advising that the
<br />contract awarded to the Santa Aha Independent on June 2, 1958, for legal advertisir~
<br />
<br />may be in violation of certain Sections of the California ~overnment Code. On
<br />
<br />motion of Counc~lm~n Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the matter was referre~
<br />
<br />to the Attorney for investigation and study and to submit a report setting forth
<br />the results of his investigation as to the award of the contract for legal advertis
<br />
<br />and if the award is in violation of the California Government Code.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following

<br />Jack R. Finnegan, representative of James R. Wilde, Architect, or~!!~y requested

<br />consideration of his letter dated July B, 1958 to commission his Company to perfor~

<br />complete architectural services for the Police Facility Building and stated he was
<br />
<br />not aware that the contract had been awarded. On motion of Counci~me~ Hubbard,
<br />
<br />seconded by Hall and carried, the commmmication was received and filed.

<br />It was moved by Counc~lma~ Gould that the signing of the contract with Richard J.
<br />
<br />Neutra and Robert E. Alexander~ Architects, Ramberg & Lowrey, Associated, be
<br />
<br />postponed until the next regular meeting in order to give Jack R. Finnegan,
<br />representative of James R. Wilde, Architect, an opportunity to submit their
<br />~ifications ,for architectural services for the Police FaCility Building.
