RESOLUTION NO. 78-119 <br /> <br />EJC: adg <br />8/23/78 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING CHARGES FOR <br />WATER SERVICE INSTALLATION AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-78. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> 1. That the following rates are to be charged <br />prior to installation of water service, for each water service <br />installed by the Water Division of the Department of Public <br />Works, as provided for in Section 39-19 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code: <br /> <br />A. WATER SERVICE <br /> <br />SIZE OF SERVICE <br /> <br />COST OF SERVICE <br />INSTALLATION <br /> <br />1" $220.00 <br />1-1/2" $500.00 <br />2" $625 . 00 <br /> <br /> The rate to be charged for relocating a service <br />meter a distance of fifteen (15) feet or less shall be one- <br />half the said cost of service installation, based upon the <br />size of service, and the rate charged for relocating a <br />service meter a distance of more than fifteen (15) feet shall <br />be the same as for the cost of service installation, based <br />upon the size of service. <br /> <br /> The rate to be charged for an increase in the size <br />of service shall be the same as for cost of service installa- <br />tion for the large size service. <br /> <br />B. SERVICE INSTALLATION OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS <br /> <br /> The rate to be charged for installation of water <br />service outside the City limits shall be the same as for <br />installation within the City. <br /> <br />C. DEPOSIT <br /> <br /> The installation of larger services, fire services, <br />backflow protection devices, or any other service not mentioned <br />herein, nor specifically provided for in any other ordinance <br />or resolution of the City of Santa Aha, shall be made on the <br />basis of cost, including overhead. In any such installation, <br />the applicant shall post the deposit in an amount estimated <br />by the Director of Public Works to be sufficient to cover the <br />total charge. In the event the actual cost is less than the <br />deposit, the balance shall be refunded to the applicant, and if <br />more, shall be paid by the applicant upon receipt of additional <br />billing. <br /> <br /> 2. That no charge shall be made for installing a <br />water service if the applicant installs the water service at <br />his own expense, to the satisfaction of the Director of <br />Public Works. <br /> <br /> <br />
