RESOLUTION NO. 79-151 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF'SANTA ANA FIXING CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE <br />INSTALLATION AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 78-119 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />1. That the following rates are to be charged prior to installation of water <br />service, for each water service installed by the Water Division of the Public <br />Works, as provided for in Section 39-1g of the Santa Aha Municipal Code: <br /> <br />A. WATER SERVICE <br /> <br />Size of Service <br /> <br />Cost of Service Installation <br /> <br />1" $ 325 <br />1-1/2" 600 <br />2" 600 <br /> <br />The rate to be charged for relocating a service meter a distance of <br />fifteen (15) feet or less shall be one-half said cost of service <br />installation, based upon the size of service, and the rate charged <br />for relocating a service meter a distance of more than fifteen (15) <br />feet shall be the same as for the cost of service installation, <br />based upon the size of service. <br /> <br />The rate to be charged for an increase in the size of service <br />shall be the same as for cost of service installation for the large <br />size of service. <br /> <br />B. SERVICE INSTALLATION OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS <br /> <br />The rate to be charged for installation of water service outside the <br />City limits shall be the same as for installation within the City. <br /> <br />C. DEPOSIT <br /> <br />The installation of larger services, fire services, backflow <br />protection devices, or any other service not mentioned herein, nor <br />specifically provided for in any other ordinance or resolution of the <br />City of Santa Ana, shall be made on the basis of cost, including <br />overhead. In any such installation, the applicant shall post the <br />deposit in an amount estimated by the Director of Public Works to be <br />sufficient to cover the total charge. In the event the actual cost <br />is less than the deposit, the balance shall be refunded to the applicant, <br />and if more, shall be paid by the applicant upon receipt of additional <br />billing. <br /> <br />2. That no charge shall be made for installing a water service if the applicant <br />installs the water service at his own expense, to the satisfaction of the Director <br />of Public Works. <br /> <br />3. That the following rates are to be charged prior to installation of a <br />water meter, for each water meter installed on any water service installed by <br />other than the Water Division of the Department of Public Works, as provided for <br />in Section 39-19 and 39-25{j) of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br /> <br /> <br />
