Sive, M.D. <br /> <br />Communications <br />General ~ger ~ <br />B~llock ' s <br /> <br />Erma Nunter, Clerk of the Council, read her letter of resignation to bec~ effect~ <br />ire Jan,,Awy 9, 1959, and on motion of Counci~-~n Hubbard, seconded by Markel and <br />carried, the resignation was accepted and filed with regrets. The Council indi- <br />vid-Ally expressed their sincere appreciation for her cooperation, loyalty and <br />efficient ma-her in the discharge of her duties during her thirty-five years of <br />service with the City and extended their best wishes for success and enjoyment of <br />life after her retirement. Motion carried unanimously without a vote. <br />Communication was read from Eugene B. Sive, M.D. commending the Fire Department <br />for their very efficient manner in extinguishing the fire on the roof of the medical <br />building at 309 West Eighth Street, on September 13, 1958. On motion of Councl~m~ <br />Hubbard, seconded by wa11 and carried, the letter was received, filed and a copy <br />ordered forwarded to the Chief of the Fire Depa~-t~ent and the Personnel Office for <br />information. <br /> <br />Copies of c~maunications were r$~ad from W.H.Sihley, General M~ager, Bullock's, <br />c~nding Fire Chief J~hn Garthe and his personnel for the eplendid service <br />rendered and complimenting Chief of Police Edward Allen and his men on their fine <br />work in ~-~ tug traffic at the Benefit Buffet, September 17, 1958.
