On motion of Councilma~ ~ottld, seconded by Hubbard and carried, <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory <br /> designated 'Segerstre~ A~x No. 4'" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~]m.n Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, Preliminary Record <br />of Survey Map filed by ~mny N~mses, Inc., on a division of land for the property <br />beg~-~ng at the northwest corner of 15th Street and Towner Street, having a frontage <br />of 61.B4 feet on Towner, appro~metely 110 feet north of 15th Street and 6~.25 feet <br />of frontage on 15th Street, approximately 1~4 feet west of Towner Street, was <br />approved subject to conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Councl~m~ Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Record of S~zrvey Map <br /> the north side of <br />filed by ~m~y ll~s, Inc., on four lots faci~/15th Street between Towner Street <br /> <br />and North Rosewood Avenue, was approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~m~ Gould, seconded by Markel and ca,-x-led, Record of Survey Map <br />filed by ~m-y Homes, Inc., was approved on one parcel with a frontage of approxi- <br />mateXy 6~.25 feet on the north side of 15th Street and 61.34 feet on Towner Street. <br />On motion of Counctlm-n Hubbard, seconded lry Gould and carried, Map of Tract No. <br /> <br />2109 filed by Mark Andrews and Alfred C. Finn for the dedication of Fruit Street, <br />Dayna Street, Dl~e Street and Eristi Lane, and bond in the sum of $40,000.00 were <br />approved, license tax in the s~ of $1750.00 accepted and agreement cover~,g improve- <br />meats was ordered signed. <br /> <br />On motion of Counci~-~ Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Revised Tentative <br />Map of Tract No. 2511 filed by Action Engineering Company on property located <br />~-m~diately west of the Federal C~ications C~m,~ssion Building, south of <br /> <br />Edinger Street and north of Harvard Street, consisting of appro~!,~tely 46 acres, or <br />190 lots, was approved subject to conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~!m-~ Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, Map of Tract No. <br />2772 filed by Sol Vista ltc~s, Inc., a Corporation, for the dedication of Lowell <br />~treet, Ramona Drive, Olive Street, Flower Street and Central Avenue, also for the <br />dedication of al~ access rights to Flower Street, and bond in the sum of $88,000.00 <br />were approved, license tax in the sum of $4800.00 accepted and agreement covering <br />improvements was ordered signed. <br /> <br />On motion of Counct!ma~ Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Record of Survey <br /> <br />Map filed by R~aau Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles for ~chool and Church purposes <br />on property at Fairview e~ Center Street, was approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~]m~m Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the <br /> <br />of the Planning C~,,fssion was approved and request of Siegel, Bascom and Siegel <br />granted for a nimety day ex--ion of time fA~ September 17, 1958, instead of six <br />months as requested, on Variance No. 969 granted March 17, 1958, to pex~nit the use <br />of property situated at 1425 East Fruit Street, for construction of a two-story, <br />four-unit multiple-family apartment building. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Planning C~ission reccmanending approval of Variance <br />Application No. 1029 filed by Robert E. Mason, to permit construction of an eight- <br />unit, instead of a ten-,m!t apartment building, as requested, on property at ~25-27 <br />West Washfngton Avenue, in an R-2 District, subject to conditions.
