On motion of Counc~l,~ Hubbard, seconded by ~,11 and carried, the Purchasing Agent was authorized to advertise for bids to be opened November ~, 1958, for the reconstruction of the center portion of Standard Avenue from Delhi Roa~ to McFadden street, Project No. 111. On motion of Counc~!m~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the plans and specifi- cations for Greenville-B~nning Chanuel D-B, submitted by Orange County Flood Control District, were approved subject to the reservation that the City of Santa Ann may request a Change Order for deletion of transition section or the extension of culvert at Segerstrom Avenue prior to construction of this portion of the project. On motion of Counctlm-n Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, proper officials w~re authorized to execute agreement dated October 6, 1958, with the Chamber of Commerce for advertising and promotional activities, in the total amount of $4300.00. On motion of Counc~lm~n Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the plans and specifications were approved and the Purchasing Agent authorized to advertise for bids to be opened November 3, 1958, for the reconstruction of Sixth Street between Gran~ Avenue and Eastside Avenue and McClay Street between Fourth Street and Sixth Street, Project C-~l. On motion of Counci~,~n Hall, seconded by Gould and carried, the communication from Mrs. Russell Tanner, President, Santiago School P.T.A. requesting that action be taken for the safety of the school children at the crossing of Bristol and Santa Clara Avenue, was received, filed and referred to the Deparl~,ent of Public Works with
