On motion of Counc~lm~n Hubbard, seconded by ~1~ and carried, the recommendation o~ the Planning Commission was approved and Variance Application No. 1056 of The Broad~ way and Waln,At Church of Christ of Santa Aha granted to permit construction of a Church auditori~ and Bible School classrooms, with parking facilities, on property situated at 1220 and 1310 North King Street, in R-1 District, subject to conditions imposed on Variance Application No. ~61 granted April 21, 1958. ~ounctlman Gould disqualified himself on the following motion. On motion of Counc~!m~ Hubbard, seconded by ~al 1 and carried, the recommendation of the Planning C~mnission was approved for a nlnety-day extension of time on Variance Application No. 995 filed by San~a M~ria Pump and Implement Company, to permit a gasoline service station to be constructed on property at 2238 Magnolia Avenue and 2235-2239 Bristol Street, in R-~ and R-2 Districts, and the existing buildings to be removed frc~ the property to make roc~ for the proposed development. This being the date set for hearing proposing to modify Resolution of ~ntention No. 58-129 by ch~ing the portion of the cost that will be paid by the City from the amount of $2,000.00 to $4,637.00 for improvements in Assessment District No. 198, Daisy, Pine and Myrtle Streets; no protests were received. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Coll~c~lr~n Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution entitled~ "Resolution No. 58-307 of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha ordering certain modifications in the Resolution of Intention for Assessment District No. 198 (Daisy Avenue) was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A.A. Hall, J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly No*s, Council m~n None Absent, Councilmen None Con~unications were read frc~ the PlAnning Com~fssion recommending approval of changes in street m~mes as follows: (a) Falrview Street to West McFadden Avenue, (b) McFadden Street to East McFadden Avenue, and from W. F. Croddy favoring the change of street m~s. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councflm~n Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 58-308 changing the names of McFadden Street and Fairview Avenue" to be effective July 1, 19~, was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Taney granted to permit construction of a building to be used for a dinner-type restaurant and operation of two retail-type stores, with three 3' x 4' Neon signs attached to the building, on property situated at 1730 East 17th Street, in R-1 District, subject to conditions imposed ~y the Co~ ssion and Dept. of Pablic Works with the exception; +.~t the two parking stalle in front be 'elimiuata~l, and that a minimum of 30 off-street parking stal ~ s be provided, the parking space to be of blacktop or concrete.
