<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the request of

<br />Santiago Girl Scout Council was granted to solicit funds durinG the Cookie Sale
<br />from February 7th to 21st, 1959. '~
<br />On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the request of Santa~
<br />Aha Lodge No. 794, B.P.0.E. was granted for the use of the ~nicipal Bowl on the
<br />afternoons and evenings of May 13th and lhth, 1959, at a fee of $100.00 per day,
<br />and to stage a Circus for the purpose of raising money for Cerebral Palsy.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the request of
<br />Orange County Society for Crippled Children and Adults, Inc., was granted to solici~
<br />funds and sell paper lapel Easter lilies on the streets, March 20th and 21st, 1959,:i
<br />as a part of the 1959 Easter Seal Campaign.

<br />On motion of CounciLman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the request of
<br />Lewis W. Waymack, Pastor, Bethel Tabernacle,for renewal of application of permit to,
<br />preach on the northwest corner of Fourth and Sycamore Streets was denied without

<br />Pass, in the amount of $174.02 for alleged damages to his automobile in a colliSiOn
<br />with a City owned vehicle at the intersection of Ninth and Spurgeon Streets, on
<br />
<br />October 30, 1958, was referred to the Attorney and Insurance Carrier.
<br />
<br />On motion of CounciLman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the record of
<br />
<br />ambulance calls in Santa Ana from May 4, 195~ to June 19, 1958, submitted by Edith
<br />
<br />M. Paine, dba American Ambulance Service, 1202 East Washington Avenue, was received
<br />and filed. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Mark~l and carried, the
<br />
<br />application for permit of Edith M. Paine dba ~merican Ambulance Service was denied
<br />
<br />without prejudice, to refile.
<br />
<br />As orally requested by the Manager, it was moved by Counci!m~u Hubbard, seconded by
<br />
<br />Gould and carried, that the Council go on record as accepting the completion of the
<br />swimming pool at the Santa Ana College, and the Board of Education requested to als~
<br />accept the completion. ~
<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />CounciLman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br />"Resolution No. 59-17 concerning parking limitations and curb
<br />markings in accordance therewith"
<br />
<br />establishing a "No Parking" zone on the north side of Dyer Road between H~ 1 aday
<br />
<br />Street and a point 700 feet east of the east property line of Halladay Street, as
<br />
<br />orally requested by Todds Dairy, was considered and passed by the following vote:
