Heinly <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Reverend Frederick Haynes of the Johnson Chapel, <br />African Methodist Episcopal Church. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />February 2, 1959, rending of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved <br /> <br />on motion of Counct!m~n Hubbard, <br /> <br />Alternative writ of <br />mandate and order <br />staying further <br />proceedings ~est <br />Santa Ana Annex" <br /> <br />sec~m~ed ~y Gould and carried. <br /> <br />Garden Grove Police Officer Gerald Linn served Mayor Dale R. Reinly, Royal E. <br />Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A. A. Hall and J. Ogden Markel, each a member of <br />the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, and Marion Suttner, Clerk of the Council, <br /> <br />with a petition for alternative writ of mandate an~ order staying further proceed- <br /> <br />ings, and S~,m~nns in the case of the City of Garden Grove, a Municipal Corporation, <br /> Case 80700, <br />versus the City of Santa Aha, et alz/to appear in Superior Court Februa~%. 27, 1959, <br /> <br />at l:h5 P.M., to show cause why the scheduled March 10, 1959 election for the "West <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Power street sweeper <br />Spec. 624-6 <br /> <br />Santa Aha Annex" shoald not be cancelled. <br /> <br />A tabulation of bids was presented for the furnishing of one power street sweeper, <br /> <br />Specification 624-6, as follows: <br /> <br />A. Don~ber & Sons, Thc. <br />Brown-Bevis Industrial Equipment Co. <br />The Conveyor Co. <br />Smith Booth Usher Co. <br /> <br />Net cost to City <br /> $ ~93.0o <br /> 8977.80 <br /> 10799.oo <br /> 8~Ol. 8o <br /> <br />On motion of Couneflm~n Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the bid of A. M. <br /> <br />Donaher & Sons, Inc., at a net cost to the City of $8893.00 was accepted and the <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Vacate certain unnamed <br />alleys south of Delhi <br />Road, east of Main St. <br />Reso. 59-30 declaring <br />vacation and abandonment <br /> <br />other bids rejected. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the vacation of certain ,,nn~,e.d al]eys south <br />of Delhi Rend and east of Main Street; no protests were received and the hearing <br />was declared closed. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the <br />Resolution, on motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Hall and carried, the fol- <br /> <br />lowing Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />'~esolution No. 59-30 declaring the vacation and abandonment of <br /> certain ,m~emed alleys south of Delhi Rend and east of Main <br /> Street and reservingutility easements therein" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Counc! ]-~n <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Counc~ 1men <br /> <br />Royal E.
