<br />The Council having ~m~uimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of

<br />Counc~]m-u Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordir~nce entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance No. NS~364 providing for the holding of a General
<br /> Mamicipal Election in the City of Santa Aha, California, on
<br /> the 7th day of April, 1959, for the election of City Officers
<br /> of said City, giving notice of said election, designating the
<br /> polling places, the hours during which the polls sh~]] be
<br /> opened, the officers to be elected, and appointing Election
<br /> Officers to serve at said election"
<br />

<br />VI of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, regulating pool halls"

<br />Bus Line to use a portion of heavily travelled Bush Street for loading and ,reload-

<br /> From the City of Newport Beach, advising the City Council on February 9, 1959,
<br />adopted a Minute Resolution wherein the Council feels that the construction of a
<br />refinery or similar other heavy industry close to the borders of the City would be
<br />detrimental to the property owners of Newport Beach, and requesting that the
<br />merit of Signel Oil Company consider the placement of its new refinery outside of
<br />the Harbor area,
<br />
<br /> Petitions signed by three persons in the "West Santa Aha Annex" area protesting
<br />the ~nnexation of their properties to the City of Santa ~na,
<br />
<br /> Anonymous co~m~unication calling attention to the recent article in the Register
<br />regarding the Oouncil's unanimous vote for the expanding Airport of Long Beach and
<br />advising the article was misleading in overlooking the fact that the Santa Aha area
<br />has an airport wtaich is only a two-mile drive from the heart of the City.

<br /> Frc~ the City of Garden Grove extending appreciation to the City of Santa Ama
<br />and particularly the Police Department for the rendering of invaluable assistance
<br />in the recent and prompt apprehension of a man suspected of c~-,~tting two armed
<br />robberies in Garden Grove,
<br />
<br /> From the American Legion Post No. 1~1 requesting the proper department make a
<br />detailed inspection of the condition of the paving of the alley run, thE between
<br />Broadway and Birch Street, abutting their building to the north; also report from
<br />the Department of Public Works,
<br />
<br /> Application of Bonanma Air Lines, Inc., before the Civil Aernautics Board for

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by ~,11 and carried, proper officials
<br />
<br />were authorized to execute lease dated February lg, 1959, with Fourth District
<br />
<br />P. T. A. for rental of rooms 212 and 213 at 1104 ~est Eighth Street, at a rental
<br />
<br />of $78.00 per month, for a term of twenty months c~ncing on February 19, 1959
<br />
<br />and ending on October B1, 1960.

<br />The Council having ,m~nimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of

<br />Counc~lm~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
