<br /> Counc~lm~, Gould disqualified himself on the following motion. On motion of
<br /> Counc~lm~n Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the recommendations of the Planning
<br /> Coe~nission were approved and extensions of time granted on the following Variance
<br /> Applications:

<br /> Ninety day extension of time on Variance Application No. 995 filed by Santa Maria
<br />
<br />~ Pump and rm~01ement Company to permit construction of a gasoline service station on
<br /> property situated at 2238 Y~nolia Avenue and 2235-2239 Bristol Street, in R-1 and
<br /> R-2 Districts~
<br />
<br /> Ninety day extension of time on Variance Application No. 1014 filed by P. H. and
<br /> Ferne I. Fennell, to remodel existing duplex building and establish and operate an
<br /> interior design office at~l~O1 Bush Street, in R-3 District, and
<br />
<br /> Ninety day extension of time on Variance Application No. 1017 filed by Hugh
<br /> Neighbour, Jr., to permit duplex construction on property situated in the 2300 block
<br /> on the east side of North Bristol Street, first three lots north of Santa Clara
<br /> Avenue (total of approxfm~tely 318.92 feet), in R-1 District.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Counc~lm~u Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, that a hearing
<br /> be set on April 20, 1959, at 7:30 P.M., in regard to recommendation of the Planning
<br /> Commission reference adoption of Sectional District Map 1-5-10, ~hibit A, which
<br /> repeals Districting Maps 13, 14, 17 and 18.

<br /> On motion of Counci~m~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the communication
<br /> from the Planning Ccmmaission was received and filed recommending approval of proposed
<br /> annexation to the City of territory designated "Delhi and Greenville S. W. Annex"
<br /> located at the southwest corner of Delhi Road and Greenville Street, consisting of
<br /> approximately 26 acres.

<br /> C~,munication was read from the/CommiesIon advising consideration was given to
<br />
<br /> co~unication from the Orange County Street Naming Co~ittee and copy of a Master
<br />
<br /> Plan of Street Names for ~_~ter~l Highways and their request for co~ents and
<br /> already
<br /> suggestions at an early date so that they can coordinate with changes/under way.
<br />
<br /> The Commission was directed to give an inforraaA opinion to the CoUncil indicating
<br /> they do not favor the cbenging of First Street to Bolsa Avenue or 17th Street to
<br /> W~sl~inster Avenue, but that they would look more favorably upon the change of
<br /> McClay Street and Grand Avenue to Glassell Street, and Memory fane to Garden Grove
<br /> Boulevard. It was moved by Couac~me~ Gould, seconded by Hall and carried, that
<br /> the matter be continued until March 16, 1959.
<br />
<br /> Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial of request
<br /> of Edward Pankey that Pankey Street he renamed. On motion of CouncJ !me~ Hubbard,
<br /> seconded by Gould and carried, the recommendation of the Ple~tng C~m~ission was
<br /> approved and the request to rename Pankey Street was denied. It was moved by
<br /> Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, that the matter be reconsidered.
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Hall and carried, that the matter be
<br /> continued until March 16, 1959.
<br />
<br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of
<br /> Counc~lmeu Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:

<br /> "Ordinance No. NS-363 adopting Sectional District Maps Numbered
<br /> 8-5-9, 2o-5-9, and
<br />
<br /> in each case to be nominated Exhibit "A", was considered and passed by the follow-
<br />
<br />ing vote:
