Reinly Noes, Council men None Absent, Councilmen None It was moved by Councilm-n Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, that the Manager be granted authorization for change orders on Gas Tax Project No. 102, Unit l, North Main Street from 15th to 18th Streets, providing for increased costs of On motion of CouncA~man Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the request of Odm~rk & Bazil was granted to construct two B5 foot concrete driveway aprons on the west side of South Flower Street 2OB feet and ~89.9 feet south of the center line of Edinger Street, reference Variance Application No. 776 filed by Quentin Richard. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of CO1A~cflma~ ~J~.~l, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 59-54 concerning parking limitations and curb markings in accordance therewith" establishing a green zone on the north side of West 17th Street between Main Street -n~ Broadway, as requested by Business Equipment Company, 201 West 17th Street, was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A.A.Na11, J. Ogden Markml, Dale H. Heiuly Noes, ~ Counct ~men None Absent, Councflmen None The ~anager orally reported he had contacted the owner of the M & W Bus Lines, in regard to the application before the Public Utilities Commission for relocation of terminal and rerouting, and it is his opinion it is not possible for the City to take any action to br~ng the N & W Bus Lines ba~k into the Union Bus Termlnal, nor deny them the right to use the street. It was moved by Counc~lm~n Ral 7, seconded by Hubbard and carried, that the oral report of the ~nager be accepted and no action be taken in the matter. Mayor Hetnly stated that A, H. Allen, member of the Metropolitan Water District, has requested the City Council to go on record as opposing the establiskment of recreatior~l facilities in the Lake Matthews district. ~t was moved by Counc~lm-n ~arkel, seconded by N~ ~ and carried, that the City Council go on record as opposing the establishment of recreatio-e~ facilities in the v~ke Matthews area.
