Council Chamber Santa Ana City Hall April 6, 1959. ?:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Present: Councilmen Absent: Councf 1 men Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould~ Jr., A.A.Hall, J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly None The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Invocation was given by Reverend Robert Bonh~l 1 of the Church of The Messiah. Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of March 16 and March 23, 1959, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried. .Bids Construct Mayor's Office and Planning Department on third floor City Hall The Manager recom"~°nded that all bids submitted for construction of the Mayor's Office and Planning Department to be built on the third floor of the C~ty Hall be rejected due to the excessive cost. On motion of Counc~lmau Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, all bids were rejected and bonds ordered returned in view of the fact that the City Council considered the amount of money involved was not justified Bid acceptance 30 ornamental lighting standards for use on No. Main St. btn 7th and 15th Sts. under the circumstances. A tabulation of bids was presented for the furnishing and delivering of thirty ornamental lighting standards for use on North Main Street between Seventh and Fifteenth Street, Specificatiom No. 642-6, as follows: Total Econolite Corporation Pacific Union Metal Company Electric Supplies Distributing Co. of Santa Aha Joslyn Pacific Co. 5,066.57 5,066· 57 5,066.57 On~tion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the bid of Electric Supplies Distributing Company of Santa Ann, in the sum of $5,066.57 was accepted and Bid acceptance ReConstruction of Oak Street between Bishop and Myrtle Streets Project C-33 the other bids rejected. A tabulation of bids was presented for the reconstruction of Oak Street between Bishop and Myrtle Streets, Project C-33, as follows: Total R.J.Noble Ccmpany Sully-Miller Contracting Co. Griffith Co. Noble Cc~pany, in the total amount of $2382.45, and at the unit prices specified in their Bid acceptance One Special 16" valve bid, was accepted and all other bids rejected. A tabulation of bids was presented'for the furnishing and delivering of one (1) Special 16" valve, for M,W~D. vault at Bristol and: Talbert, Specification 621-17, as follows: Total Crane Co. 109 bid bond The Republic Supply Co. of California 2228.55 $250.00 check Valves Incorporated 2251.08 -- Chas.
