ARTICLE XV <br />15.0 SAFETY <br /> <br />15.1 <br /> <br />15.2 <br /> <br />General.. The City and the employees of the City agree to comply with all applicable Federal, <br />State and local laws and the City of Santa Ana regulations, which relate to health and safety. <br /> <br />Central Safety Committee. Part Time Civil Service employees are eligible to serve on the <br />City's Central Safety Committee. However, in no case shall the total number of SEIU <br />members (both Full Time and Part Time Civil Service) exceed two (2) representatives and <br />two (2) alternates. <br /> <br />15.3 Safety Shoes. <br /> <br />The City agrees to pay up to two hundred dollars ($200) per fiscal year per affected <br />employee, for the purchase and/or repair of approved safety shoes/boots. The option <br />of purchase and/or repair shall be at the sole discretion of the employee. <br /> <br />All safety shoes/boots purchased under this program must have steel reinforced toes <br />and insteps and bear the official stamp of approval from the American National <br />Standards Institute (ANSI), z-41. <br /> <br />Ifa particular class of employment is designated as requiring its incumbents to wear <br />safety shoes, then it will be mandatory for all incumbents of that class to wear the <br />type of safety shoe (boot or low-quarter) deemed to be appropriate by the Department <br />Head. (Some exemptions may be allowed, on a case-by-case basis, depending on the <br />type and amount of exposure to hazard in particular positions and subject to the <br />approval or disapproval of the City's Safety Officer). <br /> <br />The procedure necessary to be followed for the implementation and operation of this <br />program shall be in accordance with the existing policies and procedures as <br />previously established by the City. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE XVI <br /> <br /> 16.0 RESIDENCY <br />(REFER TO FULL TIME MOU) <br /> <br /> ARTICLE X¥II <br /> <br />17.0 GRIEVANCE REVIEW PROCEDURE <br />(REFER TO FULL TIME MOU) <br /> <br />3O <br /> <br /> <br />
