ARTICLE I <br />1.0 RECOGNITION <br /> <br />1.1 <br /> <br />1.2 <br /> <br />Pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act, Government Code Section 3500, <br />et seq., the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter called the "City") has recognized the Santa Ana <br />City Employees Chapter 1939/Service Employees International Union Local 347, AFL-CIO <br />(hereinafter called the "Union") as the recognized representative of the bargaining unit which <br />includes Part Time Civil Service personnel employed by the City of Santa Ana in <br />classifications listed in Exhibit "B". <br /> <br />During the term of this Agreement, no substantive issue of representation shall be raised <br />contrary to this recognition except as provided in Resolution No. 81-75, the Employer- <br />Employee Relations Resolution of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE II <br /> <br />2.0 NON-DISCRIMINATION CLAUSE <br />(REFER TO FULL TIME SEIU MOU) <br /> <br /> ARTICLE III <br /> <br />3.0 ATTENDANCE, HOUR LIMITS, AND NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />3.1 <br /> <br />3.2 <br /> <br />Attendance. Employees covered by this Agreement shall be in attendance at their work <br />during hours prescribed by the Department Head or his/her designee(s) and shall not absent <br />themselves without approval of the Department Head or his/her designee(s). <br /> <br />Hour Limits. Persons appointed to a Part Time Civil Service position work an average of <br />20 - 30 hours per week and may not exceed 138 hours in any two (2) consecutive pay <br />periods, if working more than 30 hours per week in some of the ~veeks. <br /> <br />NOTE: Pay periods for Part Time employees run from the I lth of the month, through the 25tt, <br />of the same month, and from the 26th of the month through the 10th of the following month. <br />The total number of hours worked depends on the number of work days contained in two (2) <br />consecutive pay periods. For example, in two (2) consecutive pay periods which contain a <br />total of 23 work days, a person appointed to a Part Time Civil Service position may work a <br />total of 92 to 138 hours. <br /> <br />Should there be any intentional violation by the City of the Part Time Civil Service hour <br />limits as shown in Section 3.2 above that equal two (2) in a six (6) month period, or three (3) <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
