Communication was read from the <br />Planning Comm~ssian recommending approval cf Variance Application No. 1089 filed by Lyre bryant <br />for construction of four triplex units, i.e., construct one triplex on each of the 50 foot hy <br />108 foot lots~ each triplex to consist of three two-bedroom apartments on property situated <br /> <br />at 2201 and 2205 Kilson Drive, amd 220~ and 2206 Hickory, in R-1 District. Lyle Bryant, <br /> Drive <br />2205 Kilso~, stated income from the proposed buildings would constitute part of his live- <br /> <br />lihood and felt the structures would improve the area. Gould, Jr. <br /> Absent, Councilmen ~one <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the recommendation of the <br /> App~cat~i~o~n~ <br />Planning Ccmmission was approved for a 90-d~y extension of time on Varianc_e~o. -~D filed <br /> <br />by Mark Andrews to permit constructiou of a two-story, 27-unit "Own Yo~ 0~ Apartment" <br />building with 28 garages, plus 14 additional parking spaces, on property consisting of two <br />lots situated at 1801 Greenleaf Street. <br /> <br />Communication was read fr~ the Planning Comissi~n recommending denial on proposed abandon- <br />ment of alley extending south frcm Washington Place between Logan and Lincoln Streets, which <br />abandoument was requested by Frank Valencia, et al., under date of Febraary 13, 1959, as it <br />would prevent property owners from having access to their proper~y. It was moved by <br />Councilman Gould, secouded by Hall end carried, that the matter be continued until <br /> <br />May 4, 1959, and that Mr. Valencia be advised accordingly. <br />. <br />Communication was read from the Planning C~m~ission rec~maending denial of Variance appli- <br /> <br />cation No. 1081 filed by L. B. Hiett to construct a two-car garage with apartment aoove <br /> <br />(24 feet by 22 feet in size) on rear portion of the lot, facing Anahurst Street cn t~- <br />South, on property situated at 214~ Kilson Drive, in R-1 District. It was moved by Council- <br />man Hall m~d secouded by Hubbard, that the Variance be denied as reco~onded by the Planning <br />Cmm~ission. The mayor inquired if the applicant would consider a one-story apartment with <br />attached garage, and Mr. Hiett stated he would be receptive to this suggestion. Councilman <br />Hall withdrew his motiun. Itwas mOVed by Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, <br />that the Variance Applicatiom be referred to the Planning Conmission for final determination <br /> <br />as the applicant desires to submit a new plot plan. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission was approved and Variance Application No. 1082 filed by Gerald Garcia <br />granted to construct a single-fsmily three-bedroom house on rear portion of lot, in <br />accordance with plot plan, on property situated at 1531 ~est Second Otreet, in R-2 <br />District, subject to conditions. <br /> <br />Roll Call Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. hubbard, Stanley C.
