<br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of April 20,
<br />1959, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of
<br />CounCilman Huobard, seconded by Hall and carried.

<br />four storeroom or office areas, each approximately 900 square feet to 1920 square
<br />
<br />feet in size (the largest room, 32 feet by 60 feet, being subject to division
<br />
<br />into two rooms), to be used for offices or any C-1 uses, on proper~y situated

<br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending approval of

<br />Variance Application No. 1100 filed by the Orange County Farmers Mutual Fire
<br />
<br />Insurance C~npar~ to erect a one-story office building (1OO feet by 150 feet in
<br />
<br />?c?'
<br />
<br />size), to be used by their personnel and staff, with off-street parking space
<br />for 30 cars; a portion of the premises to be utilized by a life insurance company
<br />
<br />for office space, on property situated at the northwest corner of Fifteenth Street
<br />
<br />and North Broadway, in R-2 District, subject to conditions. Attorney Robert S.
<br />
<br />Barnes, representing the applicant, requested waiver of the three-foot side yard
<br />
<br />setback on the southerly side of the building on Fifteenth Street. The Council
<br />
<br />having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman
<br />
<br />Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br />This being the date set for hearing on Amendment of Sectional Districting ~ap
<br />
<br />5-5-9, Exhibit A, which repeals Districting Nap 8, as recommended by the Planning
<br />
<br />Commission, and on amendment Application No. 269 initiated by the Planning Corem-
<br />
<br />ission to amend Sectional Districting Map 5-5-9, ~xhiOit B, to reclassify from the
<br />R-1 to C-1-PK District, property consisting of approximately 4.2 acres, situated
<br />
<br />at the northwest corner of Seventeenth Street and Old Tustin ~venue, as recommended
<br />
<br />by the Planning Commission; no protests were received, and the hearing was
<br />declared closed. On motion o f Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried,
<br />
<br />the following Ordinance entitled:

<br />"O~dinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ama ~uncipal
<br /> Code to change district classificatic~ on. Application
<br /> No. 269, and adopting and amending Sectional District
<br /> Map 5-5-9, Exhibits A and B"

<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
