It is proposed to extend the existing ouilding south 25 feet and II from storage room at ~'~ar of prope~'~y to property line of Bristol Street~ (proposed addition 25 feet by 87 feet) on property situated at 1115 South Bristol Street, in a-2 District. On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the recommendatic~ of the Planning Commission was approved and Variance denied, without prejudice. Communication was read from the Planning Commission recamnmnding denial of Variance Application No. ll06 filed by Dee A. and ,~ilma G. McMillan to con- struct a one-story single family dwelling (30 feet by 24 feet iusize) on front part of northerl~ portion of the property, which is 67~ feet wide and 120 feet deep, on property situated at 2090 Evergreen Otreet, in R-1 District. On motion of Councilman brewer, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and the Variance denied. Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial of Variance Application No. lllO filed by ~obert W. Allen and Willard L. ~estover to use existing two bedroom house as the professional offices of the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Semi, any and to erect a small professional sign c~ front lazn, on property situated at 712 North Bristol Street, in R-2 District. ~obert W. Allen, one of the applicants, submitted a letter from Lydia M. Stauffer~ Harold F. De~ald and Hugh A. Mclntyre, residents living in the 700 block on North Bristol Street, approving the Variance. On motion of Councilman Gould, seccnded by Hubbard and carried, the communication was received and filed. Mr. Allen stated there are only 5 houses on the block, and they did not intend to create any future growth type of ousiness. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman ~ould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "~esoluticn ~o. 59-118 granting Variance on Application No. lllO ~here Planning Commission recommended denial" was considered and passed oy the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen aoyal E. Heinly Noes, Councilmen mone Absent, Councilmen ~one C~nmunicati~ was read fram the Planaing Cmmmission recommending denial of Variance Application No. llO9 filed by John E. and Jewell ~ackman to use the garage for office for business ofr~w home construction, the business to be conducted by telephone with very little personal contact, on property sit- uated at 309 Linwood Avenue, in R-2 District. ihe applicant requested a ten~oorary Variance in order to give him time to move to other quarters; most of his business is done by ~elephone and the street is not used by him ~r business parking. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman ~uObard, seconded by Hall and carried, the follsving Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 59-119 granting Variance on Application No. t109 where t~e Planning Ccm~.ission recommended ~enial" was considered and passed by Dhe following vote: Ayes, Councilmen ~oyal E.
