Smith, 1530 South ~'lower Street, and John <br />and Mercedes Correa, 819-21 South Main Street. <br />. <br />On motion of Councilman HuObard, seconded by Gould aid carried, the Notice of <br /> <br />Rescission filed by Thomas Franklin kandle, Jr. of transfer of property located <br /> <br />on the west side of North Nain Street, south of Santa Clara Avenue, to the City, <br /> <br />on November 6, 1957, was referred to the City ~anager for investigation and <br /> <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Temple ~eth Sholom ~isterhood requesting permission <br /> <br />to reserve Alona Park on June lkth from ll:O0 a.N. to 5:00 P.~., for a Sunday <br /> <br />school picnic and to set up several beoths for games and pre-sale of script. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hall and ca~ried, permission was <br /> <br />granted to use the Park on June 14th for the picnic, but the request to set <br /> <br />up several booths for games was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following <br /> <br />bonds were ordered released and improvements accepted as completed on the <br /> <br />following tracts: <br /> <br /> bond in the sum of ~2,500.00 filed by Orange County Development <br />for the improvements on the northwest corner of Bristol S~reet and '~ilshire <br />Avenue, Record cf Survey 217, and <br /> Boad in the sum of Sho,o00.O0 filed by J. ~i. Le~ney for improvements <br />on Fruit Street, Dayna Street, Dianne Street and Kristi Lane, in Tract ~o. <br />2109 · <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, proper officials <br /> <br />were authorized to execute renewal of lease beginning Nay l, 1959, for thirty <br /> <br />months and terminatLag October 31, 1961, at $31h.00 per month with the County <br /> <br />of Orange for office space for the Agricultural Extension Service, of Rooms <br /> <br />123, 12h, 125, 126, 127 and 129, also certain storage rooms in the Oasement, <br /> <br />at llOA West Eighth Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the Resolutica <br /> <br />of the Ooard of Supervisors of Orange County' dated Nay 12, 1959, was approved <br /> <br />directing payment of $7,23h.lb representing the present operating fund balance <br /> <br />of the Santa Ana Gardens Sanitary District be paid tothe City of Santa Ana <br /> <br />together with a~¥ other operating funds of the District and to apportion any <br /> <br />current or delinquent taxes of said district, and the City approves receipt of <br /> <br />same to be expended for the benefit of said district. <br />, <br />The Council having unanLmously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion <br /> <br />of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following Resolution <br /> <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"Resol'~tion No. 59-150 authorizing payment of outstanding <br />obligations of the Santa Ana Gardens Sanitary District <br />incurred before annexation of said territory" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />~oyal E.
